The Golden Opportunity!

Congratulation and Welcome to the Parent Tribe!

I am here to honor you, support you and empower your transition into a new life!

It is truly a plesure to share with you the beautiful and rich wisdom that has been nourishing

birthing individuals and families for thousands of years.

In Chinese Medicine the postpartum period begins with the Golden Month, also known as the Golden Opprotunity and the Essential Month.  It is considered to be one of the most precious times in a birthing person's life.

During that month special care is taken to ensure positive recovery, nourishment and strengthening of the mother so she could have the physical, emotional and mental energy to care for herself and her baby or babies.

Giving birth is no small thing! Pregnancy and delivery requires a tremendous amount of physical and emotional resources.

You have nourished a life for 10 moons and now your health and wellbeing is more important than ever.  It's true, healthy mommies-healthy babies, as the wellness of your baby relies fundamentally on your's.  Taking preemptive action before birth and after can make the transition to parenthood or a growing family a smoother one.

Acupuncture and herbs are a phenomenal way to nourish and support your body, mind and soul back to balance.  The goals of after birth treatments are to help with any immediate issues that may arise directly from the birth process such as uterine bleeding, afterpains, hemorrhoids and fatigue.  Other treatments can focus on stabilizing hormonal fluctuations, reduce stress, encourage healthy milk supply and replenish energy levels to foster natural healing.

One very special treatment called Mother-Warming is given for the first couple of weeks after labor to promote general recovery.  This gentle method is done by warming up the lower abdomen & back with a Moxabushtion (Moxa) technique.  Moxa is a form of heat treatment that stimulates specific areas or points on the body to replenish the body and promote healing.

What is Good Care?

While caring for a mother after giving birth I follow 4 fundamental guidelines-

  • Rest with adequate stillness and quietness

  • Special DIet

  • Massage and Warning techniques

  • Honoring, empowering and educating

During our time together we will explore what each of theses steps means and discover what would work best for you and your family's needs so you can feel  LOVED, SUPPORTED and CARED FOR  on your new journey.

Together we'll create your Positive Postpartum Plan which would be the solid foundational roadmap to help you along the way.  With simple, practical, and easy to learn and apply practices you'll feel empowered, renewed and present for all the wonderful, and yes sometimes challenging, moments that lie ahead.

I'm honored and thrilled to be at your service!
